About L.A.D

The Lebanese Association for Development Initiative (LAD) is a community-driven, non-profit organization committed to promoting sustainable development, empowering individuals, and fostering social cohesion across Lebanon. Founded with the belief that every person deserves access to opportunity and dignity, LAD works at the grassroots level to address pressing social challenges—from illiteracy and unemployment to health disparities and youth marginalization. Our initiatives are built on research, need-based analysis, and close collaboration with local communities and institutions. Over the years, LAD has implemented impactful projects including nursing assistant training, emergency response efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, and accessibility upgrades for people with disabilities. We believe that development must be inclusive and human-centered, which is why we also focus on youth engagement, skills training, and supporting small-scale initiatives that can be turned into sustainable work or projects. We are driven by a simple yet powerful vision: a society where every individual is empowered to grow, contribute, and live with dignity. At LAD, development is not a concept—it’s a daily commitment, fueled by compassion, collaboration, and community.
